Where Have I Been For the Past 6 Months You Ask?

Why, I have been at home :) been really busy with stuff lately, so if you missed me .. (my 1 follower) then miss me no more ^_^

I have been trying my luck with photography and although I have had no formal or fancy training I do quite enjoy a challenge. So I have been putting myself out there to work for free (everybody likes help when its for free) and what do you know? So far ..in the past 6 months, I have worked for a magazine, taken some wedding photographs, today I was a lighting assistant which is pretty much the bum boy lol.. but I did have fun and everyone was so chill!  AND I emailed the photographer whom I think is AMAZING and I totally idolize him and he actually emailed me back and said "If you were living in Hawaii I would be glad to have you around on my shoots!" That was epic!

So yeah thats ..I know it's not Faiaai related but I thought I would let my 1 loyal follower know the haps.. hahaha

Hope everyone has had a good year, month, week or even day! And boy does the year go by fast!
Much alofas,

Here's a picture of me with a box on my head :D

If I was a professional I would give you all the details such as..longitude, altitude, how many degrees north/east/west/south etc.. (you know the kind I'm talking about) anyhow.. I'm not your average travel writer/ "promoter" of things..

The purpose of this AH-MAZING site is to introduce
YOU (whoever happens to be reading) to this beautiful little village called Faiaai, so that some day in the future, if YOU happen to be planning a trip to Samoa, then hopefully Faiaai crosses your mind. (:

I also wanted to create this for *Faiaaians (people of/from Faiaai), because many of you ua o aku ma le koe mafaufau aku i si o kakou gu'u pele a ea? Ia, this is a means for you guys to keep in touch or just to have a faikala at the pictures and see who is still there, and what so and so looks like, mea faapega..
See..catering to everybody's needs.
So hope you enjoy the site, leave some comments whether they be good things about the village, some queries or just general faikalaring ..fesili mai ma talanoa mai, tatou fa'asoa fa'atasi hahaha.
ERRRR! (popular slang in Faiaai)

With a population of *475 (according to the records at the hospital- Yes I had a little peek at the hospital records), a village still governed by the old Samoan ways of the “Fono Masina”, a beautiful pristine beach that is hidden behind palm trees and lies below a cliff which you have to endure on your way up, kids who no matter the age number like to flirt with almost all the foreigners and people from out of Faiaai and where walking around shirtless and going commando is the norm (BOYS only) ..and sometimes women O_O lol..

FAIAAI, Savaii

Some of you guys might be wondering who I am, am I from Faiaai? (DUH!..how else would I know so much about Faiaai). I am a lover of everything Faiaai. Have you tried searching our village on Google, and all you get is some weather forecast from 2008? An entry in Wikipedia that's as long as my little toe nail :(
I know sad isnt it, that a beautiful gem like Faiaai is unknown and hidden to rest of the world. Well thats why I decided to make this page (: Hopefully it makes it to the search engines of Google. tehe.
Just on a side note: I took most of the pictures I have on my site from this other Faiaai girl who goes to Faiaai pretty much every year.
HEY GIRL *points to the girl who owns the photos* I hope you dont mind tehe kakou ke aiga uma lavai Faiaai ae ah. lol Fa'afetai lava mo ata, a e le malie iai ia.. sei ka fekaui i Faiaai oga fa'aali mai lea o sou le malie. ERRR! ^_^

N.B: The views shown on this page are of mine and mine alone. Faiaai people do not share the same views etc etc :).
